Living Positive Resource Centre Okanagan

Living Positive Resource Centre provides services to individuals in our community experiencing concerns relating to housing, income, nutrition, access to health care including addiction and mental health services, connections with support networks, and other determinants of health. We have a specific focus on individuals living with and at-risk of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and other STBBIs (sexually transmitted blood borne infections) including free needles and needle exchange.

Our services include community and individual education, client support, outreach services, and harm reduction services. We also have programming specifically for gbMSM (the Men's Health Initiative) and LGBTTQIA+ youth (Etcetera Youth Initiative). Additionally, we provide harm reduction supplies (safer sex, safer injection, and safer inhalation) to the community, along with naloxone training and naloxone kits.

Living Positive believes that harm reduction promotes and supports the health and well-being of both individuals and communities. We believe that all humans have the right to comprehensive, non-judgmental services based on individual need. Through education and prevention efforts, we work to reduce the risk of harms to individuals and the community.
